Comic: Magneto - Testament

I want to talk on this blog about this amazing issues, about one of my favourite characters in Marvel: Magneto. It was published in 2009 and written by Greg Pak. Reading this you can understand a little bit more Erik’s thought and why he hates so much humans.

The story begins in Germany, where Max Eisenhardt (Magneto) lives with his father, mother, sister and uncle. The Nazis are rising and Max, as a Jew, has many problems to study and even to survive. He also met his future wife Magda in this miniseries (the mother of Wanda and Pietro).

Max suffers a lots and loses all his family, he is taken to Auschwitz and has to work while he sees his partners dying.

In these issues we can see historical events, as the Olympics Games in 1936 or the Kristallnacht in 1938. If you are a history lover, you’ll enjoy it, it’s easy to read and you can learn many things about the Second World War and how the Jews and Gypsies were abused by the Nazis.

The dialogue are perfect and the draws better, it’s hard to write a comic about that bad moment in our history, but Marvel did a great job and you can see the horror of a war. I would give a 10/10, I loved it and I hope you enjoy it too.

Enjoy!
